As of February 11, 2007, we are pleased to announce that Rev. Andrew L. Thomas is our new pastor at Elim.
He previously served as pastor at Blue River Baptist Church in Salem, Indiana. He has also served as Youth Minister at Wingate Road Baptist Church in Jacksonville and Cedar Springs Baptist Church in Ashford, Alabama.
Bro. Andy is originally from Orlando, Florida. His wife, Ginny, is from Branford, Florida. They have been married since 1994 and have 4 children; Hannah (11), David (10), Sarah (9) and Joshua (2).
The following is the acceptance note from Bro. Andy:
Dear Elim Baptist Church Family,
On behalf of my family and I, thank you for the warm welcome and the gracious reception which was extended to us by all. Your hospitality is a great encouragement and evidence of the working of the Spirit of God among you.
I am eagerly anticipating being with all of you very soon. We are planning on moving the first full week of February. This will allow me to assume my pastoral responsibilities on February 11.
It is with great joy that I accept the call from Elim Baptist Church and the Lord to come and be your pastor. I am very excited and can barely wait to see what it is that God is going to accomplish in, among, and through all of us in the years ahead.
