The Original Editor: Graphic Element

To add a picture to your web page, click on the Add icon in the Preview Area at the location you want the picture to be displayed, and click the Graphic button in the Properties Frame. An image placeholder will appear in the Preview Area, and the graphic properties will appear in the Properties Frame.

To select from the graphics that are available within the editor (including any you've uploaded), choose from the dropdown list. If you'd like to see a preview of the available images, click on the Graphic link next to the dropdown list, and thumbnails of the available images will be displayed in the Preview Area. Click a thumbnail to select that image, click OK in the alert box, then click Save.

If you want to display an image already on the Internet somewhere else, select Other... in the dropdown list and type in its full URL in the Other box to the right of the Graphic dropdown menu.

If you'd like to upload your own image to insert here, click the upload files button in the Properties Frame. You'll then see a series of empty fields where you can browse to files on your computer. You will also see a list of the file types that you can upload. When you're finished selecting files to upload from your computer, click the Upload Files button.

Border - To draw a border around the image, set the Border size to 1 or more. The color of the border is set by the closest Font element before the image element.

Hyperlink - If you'd like your graphic to be a link so that visitors can click on it to go to another page, either choose a page from the dropdown list which will list the pages in your web, or type a URL in the Other Link field. The Text field is what appears when the visitor's mouse cursor hovers over the image.

Target - You can set the linked page to open in a new window or a specific window in a frameset, for example, by entering the target window's name in the Target field. Default options are:

_blank open linked page in a new window
_parent in a frameset, replace parent frameset with linked page
_self replace the current document in the same window or frame
_top in a frameset, open in same window but replace all framesets with linked page

Mouseover - If you want the image to change when a visitor moves his mouse over it, select a different image for the MouseOver. Again you can choose from the dropdown list, click the link to view thumbnails, or select Other... in the dropdown list and enter a URL in the Other field.

Size - To change the displayed size of the image, enter a percentage or pixel size in the Width and/or Height boxes.

Remember to click Save when you are finished.
