| When you create a new page in your web, you
will most likely have the option of choosing from a blank
page or one of several template sets provided by your administrator.
Templates are pre-made web pages that give you a starting
point for your own page.
There are three main types of templates: Open, Limited, and
Locked. The types of template available for your use are determined
by your administrator, and it's not always possible to tell
the template type until you are actually editing it in your
website.
An open template allows you to insert,
delete, move, and modify any of the elements on the page.
A limited template allows you to insert
elements and to modify, move, or delete certain elements,
while other elements may be modified but not moved or deleted.
In a locked template you can modify
certain elements, but you cannot insert, move, or delete any
elements.
Template locking is not available in the
IE Editor - if enabled, pages will be completely unlocked
in this editor. |
