Please, remember to pray for our country, our men and women in uniform, Israel, the peace of Jerusalem, our missionaries in foreign lands, the lonely, the homeless, those in prisons, hospitals, nursing homes, and mental facilities, the fatherless, the orphans, widowers, widows, our young folks, our middle-aged folks, and our elderly. I will pray for you, my subscribers.





He must increase. But, I must decrease.





Just My Sweetie And Me!


I have no desire to roam.

Just a quiet evening at home,

Has become "my cup of tea!"

Though it isn't always planned,

We'll each take a book in hand,

My Sweetie and me!

Gone forever are the familiar noises,

Of jubilant children's voices.

Father time has made a change in the family scene.

As each evening goes by,

It's just Linda Lou and I!

You "empty nesters" know what I mean.

Over forty-seven years have passed.

But, God made our love to last,

For all eternity!

This I surely know,

Fate would have it so!

This is how it was meant to be!

Our future looks bright.

So, we must have done something right.

Each day is a great day to be living!

Ah friend, if folks are wise,

Marriage becomes a compromise,

Consisting of taking and giving!

SAILING THE SEA OF LIFE


When there's blue skies up above,

And only a calm sea below,

I feel God's protecting love,

And He's with me I surely know!

But, even when skies are gray,

And storm clouds are all around,

In His presence I can stay,

Where great peace and joy abound!

As I sail the sea of life,

Often times the mighty billows roll.

But, as the waves of toil and strife,

Try to wreck my weary soul,

Shining out o'er the tempestuous sea,

There's a Lighthouse on the hill!

And the One Who pilots me,

To the tempest says, "Be still."

God charts my vessel's course!

It's Pilot is Jesus my Lord!

The Holy Spirit is the Driving Force,

As we sail toward Heaven's reward!

GOD PROMISED JOY IN THE MORNING!


Weeping may endure for the night,

But, with the first signs of light,

Everything will be all right!

God promised joy in the morning!

With troubles and trials I'm tossed about.

I've fightings within and fears without.

However, I shall triumph without a doubt!

God promised joy in the morning!

Satan's strategy is well planned.

He thinks he'll get the upper hand.

Ah, but the Captain of my Salvation is in command!

God promised joy in the morning!

If I should stumble in life's race,

While trying to keep up the hectic pace,

Though tears of sorrow stream down my face,

God promised joy in the morning!

Waves of glory now flood my weary soul!

Soon I'll reach my eternal goal!

Then, I'll be with Jesus while the ages roll!

God promised joy in the morning!

BEYOND DARK CLOUDS!


Beyond dark clouds the sun will shine!

Joy shall fill this heart of mine,

And hope will spring anew!

Oh, rejoice my soul the Lord has heard,

And according to His word,

This time of testing is through!

Ah, I've been in the valley low.

And my soul has been tempted so,

That I questioned was this God's will for me.

Yet by faith I was able to stand,

While holding to the Master's hand!

Now at the end of the tunnel a light I see!

Ah, I'm so glad God knows my fears!

He heals my hurts and dries my tears!

He knows when I need a shoulder to cry on!

And as I head toward yon mountain peak,

I feel so blessed that I'm unable to speak!

For unpleasant memories of the valley are gone!

I HAVE NO SAD SONGS TO SING!


I have no sad songs to sing,

For you dear Friend today!

I'm the "blood bought" child of a Heavenly King,

And I'm so happy on my way!

Ah yes, I've had my share of pain,

As I traveled down Life's road!

But, I've had the sunshine with the rain,

On the way to my Heavenly Abode!

Yes, there are things in life,

That I've not understood,

I will have to say.

However, I accept the bad with the good,

As I live from day to day!

Though I've made some bad mistakes, it's true,

While, this old Earth I trod

I just have to do as others do,

And leave it in the hands of God!

Sometimes I feel burdened down,

With a heavy load of care!

But, I very quickly lose my frown,

When I feel my Saviour there!

I haven't had all roses, Friend!

I've felt the prick of a thorn!

But, the One who will meet me at the end,

Was there the day I was born!

Christ has guided me with His strong hand!

He is my soon coming King!

I shall soon enter "The Promised Land!"

Friend, I have no sad songs to sing!

IT WILL BE HEAVEN TO ME!

Life here on earth,
Sometimes is troubled.
So, in desperation,
I fall on my knees.
Then Jesus comes to me,
An my joy is doubled,
When he brings a little taste,
Of Heaven to me!

In the clear morning air,
I can hear singing,
And my heart leaps for gladness,
As I travel along!
For just up ahead,
I see the lights of that city,
Where saints from all ages,
Sing a welcoming song!

Heaven to me,
Heaven to me,
When I behold the face of Jesus,
It will be Heaven to me!
I may wonder,
At the heavenly sights I shall see.
But, when I kneel in His presence,
It will be Heaven to me!

SHOUTIN’ SHOES!


Say goodbye to the blues!

Put on your shoutin’ shoes!

Let’s sing and praise the Lord!

Then, upon us all,

The Holy Ghost will fall,

When we get in one accord!

On The Solid Rock we stand!

So, let’s join hand in hand,

As we magnify the Lord up above!

Then, He will grant our desire,

To be filled with Holy Ghost fire,

And baptize us in His heavenly love!

The reason we came,

Was to lift up His name,

Not to see who was here tonight!

As love flows from breast to breast,

And the Spirit crests,

It sure is a welcome sight!

Now we’ve got no time to lose.

We must go spread the good news,

That the Holy Ghost is real today!

We not only “talk the talk,”

He helps us to walk,

On the Straight and Narrow Way!

THAT’S WHY I’M HAPPY!


Just in case you wonder why,

There’s a smile on my face,

Well, Jesus is my Lord!

I’m saved by His grace!

No longer do I wander,

In the paths of sin.

I’ve been washed in the blood!

I am born again!

I was baptized in water,

In the Holy Trinity’s name!

Then, I came up shouting glory,

And I’ve never been the same!

Later, God sanctified me Holy,

And gave me what I needed the most,

The powerful in filling,

Of the Blessed Holy Ghost!

Now I’m living for Him daily,

With all my heart and soul,

With the calm assurance,

That Heaven is my goal!

CAST YOUR CARES ON HIM!


I can't see the burdens you carry,

When I greet you each day.

I haven't seen the tears you cried,

Along life's rugged way.

I don't know how many nights,

You have felt alone and blue,

When you longed within your heart,

For someone to comfort you.

But, I too have had some heartaches.

Yes, of trouble I've had my share.

And I've experienced lonely moments, When nobody seemed to care.

But Friend, since I met the Master,

When things get sad and grim,

I just whisper His precious name,

As I share my thoughts with Him!
